Video to JPG: turn any moment into a photo

JPG is the most compatible image format in the world, which makes it the natural choice when you want a picture from a video: it opens in every app, uploads to every site and stays small. With this video to JPG converter you can grab the exact frame you like, or a whole series, and save them at your chosen quality.

JPG quality settings explained

Get a sharp result

Pause where the image is sharp: fast motion creates blur that is baked into the video itself. If you need a crisp shot from a moving scene, step to a neighboring moment where the subject is still. Use "Original" resolution to keep every pixel, or resize to 1920 or 1280 px wide for social media.

Steps

  1. Load your video and scrub to the moment you want.
  2. Keep the format on JPG and choose the quality.
  3. Press Capture Frame; repeat as often as you like.
  4. Download single frames or everything as a ZIP.

If the JPG is bigger than a form allows, reduce it with Compress Image to Exact KB. Nothing is uploaded: the extraction happens in your browser.

FAQ

Is there a version with every mode and format in one place?

Yes — see the full Video Frame Extractor, which has all four capture modes and all three formats together.

Which JPG quality should I choose?

High (90%) is the best default. Use Best for printing or heavy editing, and Medium or Small file when you want light images for messaging.

Why does my JPG look blurry?

Motion blur is part of the video itself. Move the player a fraction of a second forward or back to find a sharper frame.

Can I turn a whole video into JPG images?

Yes. Switch to "Every N seconds" or "Fixed number" to save many JPG frames and download them in one ZIP.

My JPG is too big for a form. What now?

Reduce it with the Compress Image to Exact KB tool, or lower the resolution here before capturing.
