Split a PDF into pages or extract a page range
Sometimes you only need a few pages from a big PDF: one chapter, the signed page of a contract, or a single invoice from a bundled statement. This free PDF splitter separates a document into individual pages or extracts an exact page range, entirely inside your browser.
Two ways to split a PDF
- Split every page — each page becomes its own PDF file. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
- Extract a page range — enter a start and end page (for example 3 to 7) to get a new PDF with only those pages.
How to split a PDF online
- Upload your PDF file.
- Choose "Split every page" or "Extract page range".
- For a range, type the first and last page number.
- Click Split PDF and download the results.
When splitting is useful
Upload portals often limit file size or page count, and splitting lets you send only what is required. It is also handy for pulling a single page out of a scanned book, separating multiple documents scanned in one go, or sharing part of a report without revealing the rest.
Your PDF is processed locally, so private documents are never uploaded. Need to put pages back together? Use Merge PDF. Want a smaller file? Try Compress PDF.
