These Terms of Use govern your use of FileTools at filetools.you. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

FileTools provides free online tools for working with images, PDF documents, videos and QR codes. The tools run in your browser and process files on your own device. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

2. Your files and your responsibility

You are responsible for the files you process and for making sure you have the right to use, convert, copy and share them. Do not use the tools on material you are not permitted to process, and do not use them to infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at abusive rates, reverse-engineer for harmful purposes, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
• Do not use the site for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity, or to process content that is illegal where you live.
• Do not misrepresent the output of the tools, for example by altering official documents to deceive others.

4. Intellectual property

The FileTools name, design, text and original code are owned by the site's operator or its licensors. Open-source libraries used by the tools remain subject to their own licenses. You retain all rights to your own files and to the results you produce with the tools.

5. Advertising and third-party links

6. No warranty

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free, that output will meet a specific technical or regulatory requirement (for example exact photo specifications), or that the site will always be available. Always check important results before submitting or relying on them, and keep your original files.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileTools and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Because all processing happens on your device, you are responsible for backing up your files.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision. We may suspend or restrict access to the site for anyone who violates these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
